Today’s recipe is inspired by my trip to the Bahamas a couple years ago. This Dragonberry Bahama Mama cocktail is tropical and refreshing, and just what you need if you’re looking for a fruity rum drink. Fresh orange juice and pineapple juice are combined with three types of rum, plus a splash of grenadine – and Bacardi Dragonberry rum is the magic ingredient!
Here’s everything you’ll need to make this Dragonberry Bahama Mama cocktail.
Kitchen Tools
- Cocktail shaker
- Jigger or shot glass for measuring liquids
- Mini ice cube trays, to make tiny ice cubes (optional)
Ingredients
- Bacardi Dragonberry rum
- White rum
- Coconut rum
- Orange juice
- Pineapple juice
- Grenadine
- Ice
Recipe Variations
The Bacardi Dragonberry rum in this drink adds unique flavors of strawberries and dragonfruit. If you don’t have Dragonberry rum on hand, that’s okay! You can double the amount of white rum in the recipe.
For the orange juice, use fresh-squeezed if possible, or your favorite brand of orange juice. I recommend trying low-acid orange juice in this recipe!
For the pineapple juice, again fresh-squeezed will have the best flavor. Realistically, I don’t have the time (or patience!) to do this very often, so I recommend getting a pack of 6-ounce cans of pineapple juice.
