Marshmallow Cold Foam: Easy 2-Ingredient Recipe

I first tried marshmallow cream with coffee at Kamoli Café in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and I’ve wanted to make something similar at home ever since. This version is much easier, so in this post I’m going to show you how to make marshmallow cold foam at home with just two ingredients!
The main recipe uses marshmallow syrup plus half-and-half for a rich cold foam, but it’s really good with almond milk, too. The almond milk version gets especially nice and foamy, so you can use whichever you prefer.
This marshmallow cold foam is perfect for topping iced coffee, cold brew, or an iced latte when you want something a little different without making a complicated drink.

Why You’ll Love This Cold Foam Recipe
- Only two ingredients
- Takes just a few minutes to make
- Uses store-bought marshmallow syrup, so there is nothing to melt or cook
- Works with half-and-half or almond milk
- Easy to add to iced coffee, cold brew, or iced lattes

Kitchen Tools and Equipment
Here’s everything you’ll need to make this Marshmallow Cold Foam recipe. If you’re looking for recommendations for ingredients or kitchen tools, check out the Recipe Resources section at the bottom of this post.
- Liquid measuring cup
- Tablespoon
- Milk frother
- Small glass or frothing cup, if using a handheld frother
Ingredients
- Half-and-half (or almond milk for a non-dairy version)
- Monin Toasted Marshmallow Syrup
How to Make Marshmallow Cold Foam
- Add 1/3 cup cold half-and-half to a milk frother, such as the Nespresso Aeroccino. Alternatively, you can pour the half-and-half into a glass or mug and use a handheld milk frother.
- Add 1 tablespoon of Monin Toasted Marshmallow Syrup.
- Froth on the cold setting of your frother until the mixture becomes thick and airy.
- Pour the marshmallow cold foam over iced coffee, cold brew, or an iced latte.

What’s the Best Milk Frother to Use to Make Cold Foam?
I use a Nespresso Aeroccino on the cold setting, and it works really well for making cold foam. You can also use a handheld milk frother like this one from Bean Envy. The Nespresso Aeroccino is especially convenient because it froths the mixture evenly without heating it.
Can I Make Marshmallow Cold Foam with Almond Milk?
Yes, I often make this marshmallow cold foam with plant-based milk to have a non-dairy version. I like to use unsweetened vanilla almond milk, such as Almond Breeze.
For the almond milk version, use:
- 1/3 cup cold almond milk
- 1 tbsp Monin Toasted Marshmallow Syrup
Add both ingredients to your frother and froth until foamy. The texture is lighter than the half-and-half version, but it still creates a noticeable layer of cold foam on top of an iced drink.
If you want plain almond milk cold foam, you can also froth the almond milk without the marshmallow syrup.
You can see how well this almond milk works for cold foam in the photo below!
