One of my favorite things to do when visiting Puerto Rico is to get coffee. Words cannot describe how amazing the coffee is there. Here are some of the best places to have coffee in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Cuatro Sombras
Located in Old San Juan, Cuatro Sombras is my favorite.
With a cute indoor seating area, this is a good place to hang out or get some work done on your laptop. They also have great cold brew coffee and delicious pastries, as well as packaged coffee you can purchase to bring home.
I was lucky enough to visit in November, when they were making their Coquito iced latte. I loved it so much I made my own version at home! You can check out my Coquito iced latte recipe here.
Kamoli Café
I stopped in at Kamoli to get some coffee before a meeting, and I got this delicious iced vanilla latte with marshmallow cream. They also have beautiful smoothie bowls and fresh juices, as well as other vegan and gluten-free menu items. While you’re there, make sure to check out the boutique!
Café Regina
I am still thinking about the house-made cashew milk latte at Café Regina. Located in Ocean Park, this is a great place to stop by to grab an iced coffee to take to the beach. They also have delicious sandwiches and treats made with locally sourced ingredients.
Café Con Cé
This is one of those places that’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. Check out Café Con Cé for their Caramel Iced Latte and stay for the cute outdoor seating. Located on Loiza Street, there was a line out the door the morning that I arrived. Totally worth the wait!
St. Germain
St. Germain is the place to go for a lovely brunch in Old San Juan. With a cute and cozy ambience and friendly service, the food is divine and the coffee is amazing. This is my favorite place to go for a beautiful latte, and the lemon ricotta pancakes are to die for.
Café Cuatro Estaciones
When you’re out walking around Old San Juan, take a break and stop by this cute little kiosk for their delicious coffee and authentic Puerto Rican pastries. They have a nice outdoor seating area surrounded by beautiful plants with relaxing music. This is a great place for people watching, as well as a little bird watching!
Starbucks
I highly recommend checking out the local coffee shops in San Juan. However, if you’re a fan of Starbucks, you’ll enjoy stopping by the Starbucks in Old San Juan. They have options that aren’t available elsewhere, like quesitos and Coquito frappucinos, as well as a few other unique drinks. You can also buy Puerto Rican coffee to take home.
