It’s the kind of simple syrup that makes your afternoon tea or weekend cocktails feel just a little more special.

- Small saucepan
- Wooden spoon or silicone spatula
- Fine mesh strainer
- Heatproof glass measuring cup or bowl with spout
- Glass jar or bottle with lid for storing
- Funnel (optional, but helpful for pouring)

- Sugar– white granulated sugar works best
- Frozen blueberries
You can also use fresh blueberries if you have them on hand!

How to Make Homemade Bluberry Simple Syrup
- Combine ingredients: Add the water, sugar, and blueberries to a small saucepan.
- Simmer: Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat. Stir occasionally and mash the berries gently as they soften. Simmer for about 8–10 minutes, until the syrup is deep purple and slightly thickened.
- Strain: Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a clean jar or bottle. Press the berries gently to release more juice.
- Cool and store: Let the syrup cool completely before sealing. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Homemade Blueberry Simple Syrup
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, add the water, sugar, and frozen blueberries.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally and gently mashing the blueberries as they soften.
- Remove from heat and let the syrup cool. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a glass measuring cup with a spout, or a clean bowl.
- Pour the syrup into a glass bottle or jar using a funnel, and store in the refrigerator. The syrup will keep for about 2 weeks.
