In the order listed above, add the ingredients to the baking pan, making sure to sprinkle the yeast on top of the flour.
Run the dough cycle on your bread machine.
After the cycle is complete, remove the dough from the pan and place it on a lightly floured surface.
Form the dough into a ball. For a thin crust pizza: divide the dough in half; press it into a 12-inch pizza pan. Otherwise, for a thicker crust, use the entire ball of dough and press into the pizza pan. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes.
Brush the pizza crust with olive oil. Add your favorite toppings and bake at 400 degrees F for 10-15 minutes for thin crust, or 20-25 minutes for thick crust. Let the pizza cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Recipe Notes:
- To make the beer flat before adding to the bread machine baking pan, measure 1 cup into a large glass. Stir vigorously and let it sit for a minute or two. Repeat this a couple times until the beer starts to lose its foaminess.
- For this recipe, I used Corona Extra and it came out great. You can use whatever beer you like, keeping in mind it will influence the flavor of the pizza crust.
