Almond Simple Syrup
Here's how you can make rich, homemade almond simple syrup for all of your favorite drink recipes. All you need is sugar, water, and almond extract.
Combine water and sugars in a small saucepan.
Gently bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer until sugar is fully dissolved and mixture begins to thicken, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir in almond extract and store in a glass bottle or jar in the refrigerator.
Almond Simple Syrup Recipe Notes:
- If you don't have turbinado sugar on hand, you can use just regular granulated sugar in this recipe by increasing the amount to 1/2 cup.
- If you'd like a milder almond flavor, decrease the amount of almond extract to 1/2 tsp.
