Simple Avocado Toast
1 slice multigrain bread
½ avocado, roughly chopped
¼ fresh lime, juiced
1 tbsp cilantro leaves, chopped or torn
2 pinches sea salt flakes
black pepper, to taste
red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)

Toast the slice of bread until it's nice and toasty. Set aside.

In a small bowl, mash the avocado and add cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.

Spread the toast with the avocado mixture and top with additional cilantro and red pepper flakes, if desired.
Recipe Notes:
- Make sure your avocado is ripe! If it's not fully ripe, it will be hard to mash up. A ripe avocado will have a deep, dark green color and be slightly softer than one that isn't ripe yet.
- Add your favorite toppings to make this recipe your own! Try adding a fried egg, or some Everything Bagel seasoning!
- You can easily double this recipe. Just toast a couple slices of bread and use the whole avocado. Click on Serving at the top of this recipe card to automatically adjust the ingredient amounts!
